Born a little to late.

In the poem "Miniver Cheevy" by E.A Robinson, Miniver Cheevy is someone who is unsatisfied with his life because he would rather live in the time “When swords were bright and steeds were prancing”. I think that is kind of peculiar that he resents the time period he lives in and kind of ridiculous. I mean he could at least try imagine the world around him as mediaeval but he doesn't, and just weeps about the fact that he lives in a certain time period like everyone else. The poem ends with Miniver simply asking for another drink. I think that Robinson is trying to get us to   appreciate life and don't take what we have for granted.
